Everybody knows the feeling... when you read the headlines; when your mates spout out absurdities; when you just can't believe the way things are...is this you?Then you need to come to Sheffield Debating. We run two nights a week but they are different so take quick peek below to see what we offer. The nights are:

Monday Night Debates
Seen a motion that interests you? Why not come along to one of our monday night debates? Every Monday, 7pm in Coffee Revolution we have a public debate which you can come and watch. You will get a chance to say what you think too but you don't have to speak if you don't want to. Go to our "Upcoming Events" section on the left. The motion for the next debate is in the top right of the site.
Tuesday Night Workshops
Have you ever wanted to be able to speak in public or have you ever wanted to become better at arguing a case? We want to teach you both! Everybody at some point in their lives has to do some public speaking - whether at a postgraduate level, doing a PhD viva or simply doing a presentation at work. Tuesday nights in the Gallery are a chance for you to learn this skill in an environment with friendly teachers who have been through it and know exactly how scary it is to be a beginner.So if you want to get good at speaking in public, Tuesdays, 8-10pm in the Gallery, is for you.
